- Smallville - I was never a fan of this show as I disliked Superman, but one night at about 2am it was on E4 so in my sleep deprivation I gave it a go, was pulled in Hook, Line and Sinker. I loved the theme song but show wise I liked that it was youthful Clark Kent and how his powers developed over the seasons, if he had everything at the start it may of been boring. Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor was brilliant I also liked Allison Mack who portrayed Chloe. I always prefer villains and whilst Lionel Luthor wasn't your typical super powered villain I liked the chess like game him and Lex always played trying to stay one step ahead, speaking of villains I will say I was disappointed with the Doomsday Vs. Clark fight from season 8 as in the comics Doomsday kills Superman so this fight should've been better. I haven't had a chance to see all of Season 10 yet and have only seen half of Season 9 so can't fairly comment on them. Didn't like the Lana character and have always wondered what was on the paper Lionel picks up when Jonathon Kent is dying???
- The Wire - Not your traditional cop show. 2 deaths annoyed me in this one, Stringer Bells death in Season 3 still pisses me off to this day and also Omar Littles, he was built up as a bad mamma-jamma in seasons 1-5 yet in season 5 he gets popped by a little kid!!. The Wire isn't for everyone as it is slow building throughout the seasons, the arc starts in episode 1 and ends in the last episode. Season 1 focused on Avon Barksdales "crew", Season 2 was set around blue collar working class people specifically on the port, Season 3 focuses on 4 lads in the Baltimore area and them slowly getting sucked into that way of life, Season 4 focuses on the school system and Season 5 is about a newspaper and includes Jimmy McNulty fabricating a serial killer story. I cant descibe all the characters here but I highly recommend the show.
- Columbo - Can't describe this beyond he's a scruffy looking detective who always puts things together to work out the murder. This is more like TV movies than a show but it still counts as it's on TV. RIP Peter Falk.
- Monk - He's a detective who has OCD. In the first ever scene he is at a crime scene but has to leave as he thinks he's left the stove on, he touches the posts by the road and misses one so when he goes back to touch it he avoids a hit-and-run so his OCD saved him there. I haven't seen much just the random episode onTV, but I did buy seasons 1-5 boxset last week so can start from the beginning, but really like what i've seen so far. Also I think his assistant from season 3 onwards Traylor Howard is fiiiine.
- The Sopranos - Best show ever? it's very possible. Paulie Walnuts was my favorite. Episode wise it's probably when Paulie and Christopher are in the woods looking for a Russian.
